چکیده
We study responses to metric perturbation in topological insulator models. In this paper we introduce a novel quantity, Hall viscosity particle density ratio, which is analogous the entropy ratio suggested by AdS/CFT correspondence. This quantity corresponds filling fraction characterizes quantum states, and hence it could be discussed Haldane's zero-field system. also consider dissipationless time reversal invariant spin system, related current.

Quantum anomalous Hall effect in 2D organic topological insulators.
The quantum anomalous Hall effect (QAHE) is a fundamental transport phenomenon in the field of condensed-matter physics. Without an external magnetic field, spontaneous magnetization combined with spin-orbit coupling gives rise to a quantized Hall conductivity. So far, a number of theoretical proposals have been made to realize the QAHE, but all based on inorganic materials. Here, using first-p...
متن کاملSpin in fractional quantum Hall systems
A system at filling factor 2/3 could be a candidate for a quantum Hall ferromagnet at integer filling factor of composite fermions. Using exact diagonalization with electrons on a torus we study the transition from the singlet ground state to the polarized ground state at this filling and look for signatures of quantum Hall ferromagnetism. Differences between the fractional and corresponding in...

form many different states of matter, such as crystalline solids, magnets, and superconductors. Those different states can be classified by the symmetries they spontaneously break— translational, rotational, and gauge symmetries, respectively, for the examples above. Before 1980 all states of matter in condensed-matter systems could be classified by the principle of broken symmetry. The quantum...
متن کاملTopological polaritons in a quantum spin Hall cavity
We study the topological structure of matter-light excitations, so-called polaritons, in a quantum spin Hall insulator coupled to photonic cavity modes. We identify a topological invariant in the presence of time reversal (TR) symmetry, and demonstrate the existence of a TR-invariant topological phase. We find protected helical edge states with energies below the lower polariton branch and char...
متن کاملQuantum spin Hall phase in 2D trigonal lattice
The quantum spin Hall (QSH) phase is an exotic phenomena in condensed-matter physics. Here we show that a minimal basis of three orbitals (s, px, py) is required to produce a QSH phase via nearest-neighbour hopping in a two-dimensional trigonal lattice. Tight-binding model analyses and calculations show that the QSH phase arises from a spin-orbit coupling (SOC)-induced s-p band inversion or p-p...
